    Indian Remote Sensing satellite is used for various applications such as studying the national economy in areas of agriculture, marine fisheries and coastal management, water resources, forestry, ecology, geology, and watersheds. IRS satellite is not applied in telecommunications or traffic studies, as for these purposes, the Geo-stationary satellite is used.
